Over the last 7 years, over 1 million Ontarians have sustained a concussion. Of this number, over 200,000 individuals will have persistent symptoms such as headaches, nausea, fatigue, and blurred vision – greatly affecting their mood, ability to work, take part in recreational activities, and enjoy life in general.
The burden of concussion on individuals, families and communities across the province is extensive in terms of human suffering, social and financial impact, and overall health care and economic costs. The vast majority of injuries are, in fact, predictable and progression of symptoms, preventable, when treated with the right care at the right time.
A global leader
